Tom Davis has been working in the entertainment field since 1975, when he began working in the Los Angeles area. Starting as a camera-man for General Telephone, he has spent time in virtually all areas of video, film, and music production. In 1986 he designed and built TEC Award-winning Post Logic Studios where he was able to grow a single audio room into a 12,000 sq. ft. post production audio facility in the heart of Hollywood. Then in March of 1990, Tom became Director Of Audio of 525 Post Production and put the picture-only facility in the audio business by introducing the industry to a new way of delivering finished digital audio to a digital video master via the first ever 24 track hard disk workstation.
His career has garnered multiple awards and nominations such as when the International Monitor Awards, sponsored by the International Teleproduction Society, honored Tom with an award for his work on the Zoo-TV special in 1993. He holds a TEC Award nominations from 1991 and 1992, a 1993 Monitor Award nomination for “Rolling Stone 93 - The Year In Review,” a CLIO nomination from 1990, a 2006 Emmy Nomination for the PBS special Barry Manilow Music and Passion, and a 2022 Emmy Nomination for One Last Time: An Evening with Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga.
Nashville, Tennessee has been home for Tom and SeisMic Sound since 1994. Installing the first Euphonix digitally controlled audio console with a 24 track Fairlight digital hard disk recorder brought state-of-the-art mixing and sound design for film and television to Music City. In 2014 he installed the Avid M40 S6 which was the first one in Nashville, along with a Protools dual HDX rig with state-of-the-art plugins. In the summer of 2022 SeisMic Sound became a Dolby certified 9.1.4 Atmos mix facility, making it the first mix-to-picture immersive studio in Nashville.
As concert specials, independent feature films, and television series are now commonplace in Nashville, Tom has become the “go to” guy in for artists, managers and record labels when producing a television event or a concert film. Tom has mixed such diverse projects as CMA Awards, CMT Awards, CMT Crossroads, as well as countless DVDs and broadcast music specials. He has worked closely with a wide range of artists; from Barry Manilow to Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks to U2, and Jason Aldean to Billy Joel.

Kim Ferrell began getting interested in tech at a very young age. What started as doing the house mix for church on Sunday mornings grew into the basis for a career in Nashville's entertainment industry. She had her first experience with the country music industry in 2008 when she visited the set of Nashville Star and never looked back.
She began working at SeisMic Sound as a summer intern in 2015. This early introduction to the studio allowed her to delve into mixing with instruction from some of Nashville's best. These lessons paid off in 2019 when she got her first TV credit as Music Re-Mix/Audio Sweeting for her work on CMA Fest, and then again in 2020 when she received her first Emmy for her work on Wild Winds: Spirit of the Bison. The short documentary went on to be screened at the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Scotland as part of The Voiceless Revolution event sponsored by Planet Shine. Her second short form documentary was filmed in Cuenca, Ecuador where Kim served as translator, producer, and editor for Tango Para La Vida. The film earned both a regional Emmy nomination and a 2023 Telly Award for its portrayal of two Venezuelan refugees using dance to build a new life for themselves after fleeing their home. These accomplishments reaffirmed Kim's love for non-fiction productions and encouraged her to keep working on projects that she feels passionately about.
Kim graduated with honors from Taylor University with a degree in Film and Media Production, allowing her move up from the role of intern and into that of mix assistant at SeisMic Sound. She also acts as studio manager, organizing client visits or recording sessions, running the studio's social media, and handling various other tasks. With skills and training in both audio and video editing, she is a good asset to have in an audio for video facility. While music and audio are her passion, she is an Avid Certified User for Media Composer and actively pursues new learning opportunities.

Jade Dickey was introduced to music very early on in life through classical piano lessons as a child. The hand eye coordination came in handy when she delved into playing video games like Mario Kart and Minecraft as an elementary schooler. What started as childhood fun actually pulled her attention to the more artistic side of the games when she started taking note of the sound design and score.
Her love of music went beyond noticing a fun composition or playing others’ music and eventually branched into writing her own songs in high school. Even at this young age, she took initiative to record, produce and release a single in 2018. To do so, she worked with an Atlanta based audio engineer and subsequently became fascinated with the work taking place behind the scenes. One thing led to another and by 2019 Jade worked her way into an apprenticeship with that same audio engineer who was able to show her the ropes in areas such as location recording, foley, sound design, and dialogue editing for film. Jade’s love for music, film, and video games has crafted her passion for sound design and post audio. Games such as Hollow Knight, Spirit Farer, and Breath of the Wild inspire her to create interactive worlds through audio.
Jade actively pushes herself to improve as she is currently a senior at Belmont University, majoring in Audio Engineering and minoring in classical piano. She has mastered many of the intricacies of ProTools through her classes and independent study, as well as Unreal Engine and Wwise. In 2021 she wrote the original score and brought together the sound design for an unreleased third person exploration game called “Brave Little Ghostie.” Then during her junior year she began interning at SeisMic Sound and won the Airwiggles Award for her submission to the 2023 Airwiggles Sound Design Showdown. Her award winning sound skills, musical knowledge, and dedicated work ethic made her invaluable through the post-production process for Clone Cops, a feature length sci-if comedy film from Hi Phi Productions. As her time at Belmont nears an end, she plans to stay in Nashville, continue releasing original music, and bringing viewers into unique and engaging environments through sound design in film and video games.
