SeisMic Sound

SeisMic Sound is a full service audio facility specializing in music mixing and sound design for dramatic and music-oriented television programs, commercials, music videos, concert films, and records.  We are located in the NorthStar Studios facility in Nashville having access to satellite uplink and downlink, broadband internet streaming and file transfer, sound stages and video editing facilities.

Studio A  features:

Laydown and layback from and to D2, Betacam, Digital Betacam formats; dialog, music, and sound effects editing; music mixing; custom sound design; audience sweetening; voice over and ADR recording;  and final mixing in stereo, mono, Dolby and 5.1 Surround.

Pro Tools HD3

The industry standard with 128 tracks, 64 digital and analog I/O, machine control and all the standard plug ins.  System will handle BWAV, AIFF, and SDII files from 44.1K 16bit to 192K 24 bit. Pro Tools systems are connected via fiber optic interface to a 1.5 terabyte RAID array server.

Euphonix  CS 2000/3000

This 168 input-56 fader digitally controlled mixing console will automate every  fader and every  knob on the console with an immediate reset capability of every mix at any time.  This means that perfect mix can be 100% reset at a later date for revisions... in about 1/30 of a second.

Apogee/THX MPTS-1 Main Monitors

Studio A features the only true center channel monitor system in the area.  Three full field main monitors in the front, with four full range surround monitors make for a truly inspiring mixing environment.

HD video

This ceiling mounted projector hits a 7 foot Stewert perf screen for an excellent image.  The center speaker is mounted behind the screen for perfect dialog imaging.  Projector will accept HD, SD, NTSC, PAL and SECAM signals and project in 16X9 format.  Full HD and SD video lock up to Pro Tools with Virtual VTR software on a Mac Pro and AJA video card.

Studio B  features:

Pro Tools HD1

8 digital and analog I/O.  System will handle BWAV, AIFF, and SDII files from 44.1K 16bit to 192K 24 bit.  Pro Tools systems are connected via fiber optic interface to a 1.5 terabyte RAID array server.

Fairlight MFX III

Same unit as in Studio A.  Removable drives allow projects to be swapped between studios.

Tascam SX-1 Digital/Analog console

For monitoring, mixing and editing.  Console has full EQ, Dynamics, and reverb in board.
